The best shows you've never heard of

1:Freaks and geeks

The best high school show EVER!  This show isn't about the cheerleaders, or the hot guy, this show is about the freaks and geeks (duh).  The freaks are stoners, teachers hate them, other kids call them burnouts.  They are however, a close knit group of friends. The geeks don't get makeovers and become magically hot.  They are picked last for gym, and made fun of.  But in the end all the geeks are really friends who support each other.  This is my all time favorite show

2: The undergrads

A funny animation about college.  This show fallows 4 best friends from high school on their journey to college.  This show fallows typical freshmen problems (so I've been told-I'm only in high school remember)  This show got me excited for college and inspired me to get good grades me Jr year (hear that moms?)

3: God the Devil and Bob

This show is amazing!  It's hilarious and in NO way anti-religious* (the reason for it's cancellation).  God, The Devil and Bob was created by Matthew Carlson, the man behind Malcolm in the Middle, for NBC in 2000.  If anything it's pro religion.  The story is God things we're screwed up and wants to destroy humanity, but if one person is worth saving he will not.  He makes a game of it and lets the devil choose, he choices Bob.  God tries to get Bob to do the right thing and the devil temps him.

4: Undeclared

Made by same people who brought you freaks and geeks.  WARNING (THIS SHOW DOESN'T GET GOOD TILL THE 9TH EPISODE)  This again tackles amusing college problems, liking your best friend, having a crappy roommate, etc.  It's funny at times (the funniest episode is 10) and romantic at times.  Overall it's a pretty good show

the Voice: DIA

OK I used to LOVE Dia from the voice.  I thought she was cute sweet and had a killer voice.  I also thought she was simply a writer who could sing.  I was WRONG!

Dia has been in the band, Meg and Dia since 2004.  They were signed to Warner Bros. Records on February 19, 2007.  They went on many tours including the popular Vans Warped Tour.  One of the bands songs, "Roses" was featured on the TMNT movie soundtrack.  Another one of the bands song, "The Mighty R-E-A-L", became the official anthem for Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer.  In 2010 the band was dropped from there label. The band recorded a new record, independent of a label with producer Charlie Vel.  The bands most resent album was Cocoon, released on April 5, 2011, this is the band's 4th studio album titled.

So there was this guy, *Donny.  Donny seamed nice enough.  He bought lunch for me when I forgot my money and when I tried to pay him back he laughed and said keep it.  When I skipped gym (Only on Fridays)  I would hang out with Donny, Molly, and *Joey in the sound proof room. I stared to really like Donny, and so did Mona.  I wasn't really over Jack at this point, so I didn't care when Mona and Donny started dating, in fact I thought they were cute.  Donny suddenly stopped being nice me, when I asked him why he said and I quote: "I only liked you because you're hot, that's the only reason most people like you. Frankly your annoying, but your hot enough that people don't notice it right away."  Well that was harsh.  I basically stood there dumbfounded.  When I talked to Mona she told me to take it as a compliment, how was that a compliment?  I'm petty and that's all I have offer?  THAT SUCKS!  And Donny continued to get meaner and  meaner. Eventually Mona and Donny broke up. Reason: He cheated.

Moral of the story: Don't date a jerk, and listen to your friends ( sometimes remember Jack)

Me and Mona were having a sleepover that night.  We were hanging out at school later then usual (a few hours) and Mona was going to get some pictures.  Mona wanted to go to an abandoned house a few blocks away, so we gathered everyone, Jack, Trish, Maddie, and Hank, (Jack and Trish were still dating) and walked to the house together.  I got Hank to give me a piggy back ride, an we were off.  When we go there jack found an entrance we could go through.  Mona and me waiting for Jack to male sure it was safe to go inside, and when it was we went in.  The house was trashed and had a DO NOT ENTER sign, the sign apparently didn't work.  We just went in took photos for an hour or so, goofed off, and had fun.  The house was smelly and more then a bit scary, but was one of my most memorable, and best experiences.

Moral of the story: Do something stupid once in a while

This is a repost, but this is the story of Ken, the 3rd boy of freshmen year.

here was this girl, Maddie who went to my school when I was a freshmen…we were friends (sort of) and she had about 20 guys who wanted her. There was this boy, Ken who I liked.  Ken was a true player, but the cutest player. My first week at school he tracked me down and got my number, I felt like Cinderella!  Ken and I were texting and I really wanted him to ask me out.  One morning I got up early and got all made up cause’ we were going to hang out before class.  On my way to the school he texted me ‘hey sorry I cant make it… but I wanted you to know I’m also talking to Maddie.”  I took this as’ I like Maddie too’ and was pretty pissed.  At school that day a mutual friend of mine and Ken’s told me Ken wants to just be friends.   I took the hint.  I stopped talking to Ken, I avoided him, and took alternate routes to class. I was really embarrassed!  I felt like I lost to Maddie.  A lot of people called Maddie a slut (yes even boys) I regret to say that this was one on the main reasons we aren’t friends anymore (you would think the Ken thing would be a bigger deal).  She always had the hottest boys (even if they had girlfriends).  I this whole girlfriend thing got her in way too much trouble.   A guy who Maddie allegedly sent naked picks to (It was the rumor at the time…never found out if it was true) had a girlfriend named Emmie.  Emmie was so pissed at Maddie that she punched her in the face.  But this isn’t way you shouldn’t be jealous.  A few months ago I looked up Maddie on Facebook and found out she was pregnant!  She is now married and happy… but never graduated high school. Want to know what happened with Ken?  A few days ago Ken texted me… and told me he really liked me but Courtney told him I only thought of him as a friend! WTF? I guess I didn’t lose.

Moral of the story: Please talk to the guy you like

Now for sad story, the one story of regret and betrayal, the story of *Jack.  I liked Jack, I mean I really liked Jack.  He was the hot bad boy.  He did stunts, he was smart, and he didn’t give a shit what anyone thought.  We had a dramatic relationship to say the least.  He had just broken up with his girlfriend, *Trish, and had a thing for me.  His friend, *Alex told me.  I got to know him better and waited for him to ask me out for a while.  I got sick of waiting and sent him a text, basically saying: what gives I thought you liked me, do you? And he did, but wasn’t over Trish so nothing happened, we had a long ass conversation about it after school.  I ended with me pissed off, and swimming a very fast swim practice that day.  A week or so later *Molly and me had a sleepover.  We decided to call Jake and make him well…unconfortible. I remember we asked him why its called a blow job if you suck.  We were insane.  Mary then called him when I was undressing to go in the hot tub to tell him that, frankly I’m surprised he picked up the phone after all this, but then again maybe he enjoyed it.  Later that night me Molly and Jack had a long drawn out conversation with me and jack dating, not dating, and a whole lot of drama in between.  And the end we were going to date.  Then Molly convinced me that I forced Jack to go out with me, so I told he we should just stay friends.  Then another week went by and me Jack and Molly (I don’t know why Molly was there, I think I asked her come?) had a long talk about me and jack and at the end we ended up dating.  For some reason Molly was a big part of me and Jack.  After we started dating, Molly fead me (false) information about Jack smoking pot, and doing hard drugs, I was pissed and wanted to break up, I didn’t want to date a druggie.  But I still liked him so I avoided him, I didn’t want to face him so Molly broke up with him for me through a note.  I was a wimp.  We hated each other for the next year and a half.  I hated him because Jack and Molly started dating.  I recently (yesterday, my Jr year) talked to Jack he now wants to do special forces for the air force and apparently never did all the drugs I thought he was doing.  I wish I would have simply confronted him and talked to him one on one. But more then that I wish I kept Molly out of it!

Moral of the story: Don’t believe everything you hear.

Jack if you're reading this...I'm sorry I never talked to you, if Molly is reading stay out of my love life.

Time for the boys of freshmen year, starting with *Frank.  Frank was Moan's ex boyfriend who she hated.  I avoid Frank because he was a loser, not a social loser, but a true loser.  He had the lowest GPA in the entire school, and frankly stupid (no pun).  My and Mona were late to English the same day that everyone had to pick a group.  There were two spots left, and they were with different groups.  Mona begged me to be in the group with Frank since they had a messy break up.  I agreed but told Mona she owed me.  I ended up doing all the work in my group and started to hate Frank.  About a week after the project, me and Frank were stuck in the same art class, I don’t remember why, but it was only for a day.  I hung out with *Amy, who had a huge crush on Frank.  So we talked to him to gage weather or not her was interested in Amy.  Then a funny thing happened, I realized I LIKED FRANK.  He was surprisingly nice, and covered for me when my phone rang in class.  A few days later he asked me out and I said yes.  I then regretted it, well 5 min. later I remembered it.  I remembered what a true loser Frank was and asked Mona how to get out of it.  People were around when I asked Mona and my hour long relationship with Frank was all the news.  Mostly because I cared a lot about school and he well…didn’t.  I broke up with Frank by the end of that day.  And Frank held a grudge, he was the meanest, rudest, most horrid person to me after that. 

Moral of the story: Don’t date a loser.

I moved schools in the middle of my freshmen year, my art teacher told me to try out for the local art school, and I got in.  Let me just say It was a culture shock.  There were the most flamboyant gay men, and girls hitting on me, something you don’t see at a catholic school.  My first day I thought my soon to be best friend was weird, and frankly scary.  I felt so out of place.  But my soon to be best friend, *Mona, took me aside and made me feel convertible. I then took time to get to know her, and she is still my best friend. In fact she is the only person from freshmen year I still talk too.

Moral: Get to know people that weird kid could be your best friend.

The high school stories My 1st Mistake

I started freshmen year at a Catholic School, and I was the stereotypical Catholic Girl.  I had a few good friends, and tried to make baggie navy blue paints, and a loose shirt look cute.  The 1^st mistake was made during freshmen year  at a football game.  I was new in a ‘popular clique’.  One of my friends in the clique, *Ali  told me she was going out with *Jack.  I didn’t think it was a secrete and told multiple people, including *Kelly.  Well I told Kelly by accident she was there when I was telling some guy I thought was hot.  Kelly being the jerk she was went and told Ali I was telling everyone.  Ali wasn’t mad I told people, she was mad Kelly knew.  Ali HATED Kelly, I’m not sure why but in high school you don’t need a reason to hate people.  The next day in class Kelly confronted me, and I pretty much told her to shut the fuck up(I didn’t curse though).  Then Ali told all of my new popular friends I couldn’t be trusted.  I still stayed in the clique, but Ali was know longer my friend.
Moral: ASK your friend if it’s a secrete BEFORE telling the world.

The stories you are about to read are true, this is simply the first post in a series of true high school stories.  I also have a song to go with each story. There stories are mine, and if you were a part of my life in high school you should be able to look past the fake names, and remember these time.  If you do recognize yourself I have special messages for you at the end  of each post

When you start high school you think it’s going to be magical. You think it’s ‘High School Musical’, you think that it will be YOUR year.  Sorry 8^th graders, its not that great. When I look back on my freshmen year all I can do is laugh. I was innocent to say the least.  I didn’t curse I didn't know what anything sexual was, and lets just say when people explained what things were it was awkward. This is the story of my freshmen year, and all the stupid boys I dated, the worst friends I ever had, and the best friends.

Degrassi review (dont read if you havent seen it... spoilers)

1st of all I want to say I am disappointed Degrassi.... I thought someone would die...or SOMETHING would happen instead of Jenna having her baby (wasn't that the hype for the LAST part of season 10?) and the end of eclair (which we knew was going to happen) over all this episode pissed me off and is making me question whether or not to tune in next season.  I wanted 'time stands still' (rick shooting) and got nothing... just a typical boring OVERhyped episode.  I don't think I’d be soo annoyed if this episode wasn't soo hyped. Now onto the episode review/summary in detail:
Claire and eli

I know there are tons of sad Eclair fans out there, but they did need to break up. The begging of the episode was good; the gun in the car sort of excited me about the episode (even though nothing happened with the gun).  Claire told Eli's parents Eli crashed his car because Claire said she hated it.  Then at the hospital Claire had Ali in her head and screamed your Manipulating me!  I don't think he was Claire, I think he was out of his mind and thought his car was the issue. Eli needs help.  I hope next season we see him get his help.  Overall this story line wasn’t great....WHY DIDN'T ANYONE DIE??!?!!??!?!

Fiona, Holly J, and Anya

Loved it! Was funny and honest... My favorite line was from Anya: I think you're my only non-gay friend. <- to Holly J.  But Anya F-Ed up by telling Holly J. (who tried to handle it right but failed miserably).  In all reality Holly J should have known after Fiona kissed her at the Bobby trial I was glad in the end they (Holly J and Fiona) were friends.  It's wired having Anya join the friendship, but I'm willing to give it a chance (are you?)




Jenna and K.C

Hope you enjoy the old pic!  But this was a little too predictable for me... I knew she would have the baby...she's like REALLY pregnant.... I think the baby is a girl wau? The K.C story line was never finished... did he get away from Bianca?

I thought it was ok... Clair and Eli were a great couple but he was intense last episode.  I was soo annoyed at the end really he points a gun at a picture... it really didn't live up to hype... when it was over I was all...THAT WAS IT???

Well that as bound to happen... I never liked them as a couple.... its just wrong!  Sav and Anya 4ever! And Holly J and Declan 4ever! Ha-ha... I felt bad for Anya though.... Sav never stood up for her!  

Overall it was blah! If I had to grade it C-

Teachers 101 or just a rant

DISCLAMER: I admit I’ve had some good teachers, but this post is not about them.

I hate teachers.  They walk around like there dictators, and demand respect.  Teachers believe they are above you just because they're old.  They grade you based on what they think of you, not your work.  I won a national art contest and had an F in art all in the same week. *  Art teachers are the worst of all.. They think that they are 'gods' of art... they’re not!  They are just artist who couldn't make it and take there bitterness out on students**  The teachers don't care about you, they only care about them.

*I turned it into an A in like 10 min but still

Glee Review

Ok so I caved and watch Glee.... I admit I liked the alcohol episode so I tuned in for more... unfortunately.

I'm sorry Gleeks but I give the 'A Night of Neglect' episode a D!  It was awful... nothing happened! The humor was stupid and don't get me started on the music!  Glee has ruined many songs... but I will admit some of their covers are well pretty good...here are my favorite glee songs (well the tolerable ones)
